Day 01: Kolkata  
 

On arrival in Kolkata, you will be received by our representative at Dum Dum Airport, who will assist you to check -in at your hotel. You can spend the day relaxing or exploring this Indian metropolitan city.
Kolkata, a bustling city on the banks of Hooghly River is a cultural hotspot. The city of poets and artists also boasts of wonderful architecture like Victoria Memorial, St.Paul's Cathedral, Hooghly Bridge and Vidyasagar Setu Bridge. Soak in the culture of the 'City of Joy' by hopping on to a tram and explore the treasures of the historic city.

Day 02: Dibrugarh to Dibang Valley  
 

Today we head for the airport to board a flight to Dibrugarh, in Assam. You will be met by our representative upon arrival.
From Dibrugarh, it is a 2 hour drive to Soikhowaghat to board a ferry cruise (1 hour) on the headwaters of the Brahamputra river to reach Sadiya Ghat. From Sadiya Ghat, we drive for 2 hours through the rural areas of Assam and Arunachal to reach Dibang Valley Jungle Camp. It is located at the 12th mile marker.
The camp is modeled as a beautiful farm house that offers a breathtaking view of the Dibang river basin, the surrounding forests and the enigmatic Mishmi hills. The hills are a southern extension of the Great Himalayan Mountain Range, that is popular for birding.

Day 3: Dibang Valley  
 

During our stay in the Mishmi Hills area, we will visit the Mishmi villages and get a glimpse of the region’s local culture and traditions including farming, weaving, house-building and more. You could try your hand at trout-fishing, rafting on the nearby river or go on a birdwatching hike in the mountains. In the evening, we may participate in a cooking session where you will get a taste of authentic Mishmi cuisine.

Day 4: Dibang Valley  
 

Today, we might go on a bird walk and a short hike if the weather conditions are favorable. In case of clear weather, a jeep expedition to the Mayodia Pass will be planned.
Mayodia Pass, is the highest point of the Mishmi Hills, and is a gateway to the Indo - China border. It is at an elevation of 2,655m.

Day 05: Dibang Valley to Chongkham  
 

Today we drive for about four hours to reach the picturesque villages of Chongkham near the Lohit river. The Lohit River is one of the main tributaries of the Brahmaputra. Our hosts at Chongkham are the local Khampti families. We will enjoy a freshly cooked Khampti lunch, after which our local guide will take us around the village and introduce us to the Khampti way of life.

Day 6: Chongkham  
 
On our second day in Chongkham, we visit a monastery and Buddhist Pagoda, follow jungle trails and enjoy a boat expedition on the Lohit river. In the evening, a Khampti cultural dance performance will give us another glimpse of the local culture.

Day 7: Chongkham to Namdapha National Park  
 
Today we head for Namdapha Tiger Reserve. We will reach Camp Namdapha after a four hour drive from Chongkham. After Lunch, our local guide will take us on a village tour and describe the traditions of the Singpho people.
Namdapha National Park is the largest protected area in the eastern Himalayan biodiversity region. It is also the largest national park in India (1,985 sq km). The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife- four species of Wild Cats (Snow Leopards, Clouded Leopards, Common Leopards and Tigers), Dholes, Wolves, Asiatic Black Bears, Elephants, Wild Boars, Forest Musk Deer and many more.

Day 8/9: Namdapha National Park  
 
Today after an early breakfast, we will head for Namdapha forest on an exciting, day-long birdwatching expedition. Our local naturalist will help you identify the rare birds and mammals that inhabit this region.
On the ninth day, we will go on a 5 km birding trek to Haldibari. We return to Camp Namdapha by late evening for dinner.

Day 10: Namdapha National Park to Dihing River  
 
After birdwatching for a few hours in the morning, we will travel today towards Dihing River Camp. On the way, we stop at Miao for lunch. Dihing River Camp is situated on the banks of the Buri Dihing river. The camp has two Chang cottages (traditional Bamboo huts on stilts) with attached western bathrooms.
Dihing River is an important river tributary of the Brahmaputra River. It originates in the Eastern Himalayas and flows through Assam to join the Brahmaputra at Dihingmukh.

Day 11: Dihing River  
 
We will go on a boat expedition after breakfast. This will be followed by a birdwatching tour in Jokai Reserve Forest. We return to the camp in the afternoon, where the local villagers will perform a Bihu cultural program.

Day 12: Dihing River to Kolkata  
 
After breakfast, we will head for the Dibrugarh airport to board a flight to Kolkata. You will be met by our representative upon arrival at Dum Dum airport, who will assist you get to your hotel and check-in.

• Route: Dihing - Dibrugarh - Kolkata
 
     
Day 13: Kolkata  
 
This action packed tour ends here in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Our representative will help you get to the airport for your flight back home.
